For many German brands, the UK and Benelux are the first step abroad. Both are close by with strong online demand, but they raise very different questions. The UK sits outside the EU, so customs, duties and UK VAT decide whether the market is profitable at all. Benelux has no border to cross, but shoppers expect local payment methods, service in their own language (in Belgium, both Dutch and French) and next-day delivery.
Engage with Ecommerce brings together three Shopify Platinum agencies: Radikal (Belgium), Quickfire Digital (UK) and Tante-e (Germany). We look at what really changes when you sell in a new market and what to prepare before launch. The examples focus on the UK and Benelux, but the lessons apply just as well to France, the Nordics or the US.
Speaker
Eddy Moosavi Pour, GRÜNS
In a fireside chat with Adrian from Tante-e, Eddy shares the brand side of taking a business into new markets. More speakers to be announced.

Getting there
Mindspace is in a former 1872 paper factory in Kreuzberg; the entrance is in the courtyard, just follow the signs. Görlitzer Bahnhof (U1/U3) is a two-minute walk. From Hauptbahnhof or BER, take the S-Bahn (S9 from BER) to Warschauer Straße, then the U1 or U3 two stops. Parking is limited, so public transport is recommended.
